The thrill of firing coloured balls into an ever advancing snake of the same with a view to creating chains of three or more of the same colour is not to be underestimated. Put simply, there’s no such thing as too much Zuma, so it’s great news to see it arrive on the PlayStation Store today.

The basic concept of Zuma, as described above, harks back to the 1988 arcade game, Puzz Loop. More recently it has been reworked as Magnetica Twist on Wii, Luxor 2 on XBLA, Stone Loops of Jurassica on iPod Touch and others too numerous to list. We guess it all goes to show that you can’t keep a good gaming idea down. In any case PopCap’s Zuma, while not being the original, is still the best in our book. It’s yours, complete with Tropy support, for a meagre £6.99.

Zuma is not the only star in this week’s PS Store update, either. Similarly ace is asteroidal shmup Super Stardust HD, which celebrates its two-year anniversary with a price cut to a frankly unmissable £1.59.
