PS3 Bioshock patched [PS3]

Thursday October 16, 11:22 AM PS3 Bioshock patched

The PS3 iteration of Bioshock isn’t out until tomorrow but already publishers 2K are talking about a patch to address a number of apparent visual glitches.

“Hey guys, I have good news from the dev team about a patch for BioShock PS3! They have been working on a patch to address the concerns some of you on the forum have talked about,” chirps ‘2K Elizabeth’ on the official forums.

“As work is in progress I do not have a definite date for when this patch will be released as it needs to be tested and clear certification with Sony before it is scheduled and released. I do know this will not be until after the game’s launch, and I will update you with details on that date as I receive them.” she concludes.

So no comprehensive details about what the patch contains or a concrete date to diarise. However 2K ‘Liz does reveal that a couple of the most obvious problems have been repaired - specifically the horrendous blocky pixels that beset the Bouncer and Elite Bouncer variants of Big Daddy and the white bars that mysteriously crop up during the otherwise brilliant plane crash intro scene.

You did notice and have your enjoyment ruined by both of those in the PS3 demo, didn’t you?

There you go, then. All will soon be well and PS3 gamers will have nothing to complain about. Just one question, though - shouldn’t all of this have been sorted out, like, before the game was released?
