It’s a fifth consecutive turn at the top of the all format/full price charts for GTAIV this week – and that’s in spite of sales falling off a further 22% and the arrival of the brilliant Race Driver: GRID. Show some respect, people! Blimey, if GRID can’t unseat GTAIV what can? Certainly none of the current contenders and definitely not Wii Fit, which has dropped of the top 40 radar entirely thanks to those FRANKLY DISGRACEFUL stock shortages – hah! However new stock is on the way, we’re assured, so we might start being nice about the game again in the not too distant future… Otherwise it’s pretty much business as usual, albeit with a bit of minor shuffling. Haze is down to four, Guitar Hero III steps up a couple of places, COD4 and Sega Superstar Tennis are back for more, Iron Man refuses to give up his seat and last week’s other big(ish) release, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, only managed to debut at 12. Oh, and then we notice that this week’s top ten is entirely free of football games (PES 2008 at 11, Euro 2008 at 14, FIFA 08 dumped to 22). Is this some kind of first? Anyway, here’s how the top ten looks for the week ending May 31st: 1. Grand Theft Auto IV (1) Leisure software charts compiled by Chart Track, © 2008 ELSPA Ltd
2. Race Driver: GRID (NE)
3. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (4)
4. Haze (3)
5. Sega Superstars Tennis (12)
6. Mario Kart Wii (6)
7. Guitar Hero II: Legends of Rock (9)
8. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (11)
9. Rock Band (5)
10. Iron Man: The Official Videogame (10)
