Credit crunch preventing you from playing online with Xbox 360? Fear not, another bumper weekend of online freebies is coming your way.

Microsoft has begun promoting another ‘Xtival’ weekender – an online Xbox 360 festival running from 1-4 May. The long and short of it is that Xbox LIVE Silver subscribers will receive temporary upgrades to Gold for 72 hours, which we assume will begin Friday evening or our mathematics skills need improving.

In addition to offering free multiplayer gaming across Xbox LIVE (Microsoft usually charges a subscription fee for the privilege) there will be online competitions and exclusive downloads that include HD movies and music-related content.
