Beatles Rock Band downloadables – dates and prices [X360]

Thursday August 20, 11:45 AM Beatles Rock Band downloadables – dates and prices

A trio of the Beatles’ most iconic albums will be available to download in full after the full game’s release. Hey, they’re all supposed to be iconic, aren’t they?

Abbey Road surely fits the bill, if only for its album cover which shows the Fab Four on a zebra crossing and which gave many at the time cause to believe that Paul McCartney was dead (he wasn’t). The tracklisting is not quite so memorable, though, possessing rather less than its fair share of solid gold hits and – ack! – the heck-awful ‘Octopus’ Garden’, as unforgettably rendered by Ringo Starr. Anyway, this ‘un’s out on October 20th for 1360 MS Points – £11.56 or thereabouts.

Next up, a month later, we have Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, which, it’s fair to say, is properly iconic on any number of levels. And then there’s Rubber Soul for December. That’ll be our easy pick of the bunch.

We’re guessing that the same costs will apply to all three albums. However, players can pick and choose individual tracks at just 160 MS Points a pop. That’s how much you’ll pay for the timed exclusive release of ‘All you need is love’ on Xbox 360 too. It arrives day-and-date with the main game on September 19th.
