Konami has announced that its next free download for PES 2009 on PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC will be based on the January transfers. All clubs will see their rosters updated, not only to accommodate changing roles of existing players but also to welcome in the region of 200 newcomers.

This has also proven an opportunity to refine the stats of all players in the game where required, based on season performance so far. Thierry Henry, for example, ought to be back to his superhuman best at Barcelona.
