We’re not quite sure what the appeal of the Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 is – perhaps it’s something to do with the fetching shade of goose-cra… sorry, Spartan Green (with gold bits) that it comes in. Any colour that is not corporate beige is an improvement, we suppose. So here are those much-anticipated cost and package details.

Okay, on September 26th (i.e Halo 3 launch day) you can pick up the Halo 3 360 for a modest £279.99. That’s the same as the old asking price for the Premium 20GB model, however there is more in the box to justify the price tag:

What’s missing from this picture? As far as we can tell just a copy of the game itself and an HDMI cable – the port’s no good without one, after all. It’s probably a worthwhile investment if you’re in the market for a new 360, though. Indeed:
