That the Xbox 360 should outsell the Playstation 3 in Japan just once was remarkable, while two weeks in a row was bordering on the chin-strokingly implausible. But three weeks straight? You’re having a larf, aintcha?

Yup, the Media Create figures are in, speaking loudly for themselves and demonstrating clearly that the 360 has indeed stuck it to the ‘Station for a third week in a row. In fact cumulative numbers courtesy of fellow Japanese sales-watchers, Enterbrain, show that the 360 has shifted around 20,000 more boxes than the PS3 throughout the whole of September too. We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating - Go Xbox!

Of course the Wii, DS and PSP have outsold the lot of ‘em and each by some comfortable distance, but, y’know, that’s just not as newsworthy, is it. Anyway witness the Xbox fitness, Last week‘s sales in brackets:
