It’s a seventh consecutive week at number one for Wii Fit, making it sixteen spins in the hotseat to date. Is anyone else feeling giddy and slightly sick? So, just two more appearances at the top of the all formats/full price chart are now needed for Wii Fit to equal the all time record held by Who Wants to be a Millionaire? The way Nintendo’s lifestyle accessory-cum-contemporary cakestand continues to fly off the shelves there’s going to be no excuse for any of us to be flabby and out of shape on the beach this summer. No nexcuse, you hear! But will Wii Fit actually surpass Millionaire’s record? We’re going to stick our necks out and say yes. The Sims 3 is bound to spoil the party when it arrives on June 5th, but we think Wii Fit will be back with a vengeance – maybe post-Xmas, when we’re all bloaty, horribly hung-over and in dire need of a decent workout. For the time being, though, Wii Fit is top of the pile and the rest of today’s top ten is an alarmingly familiar replica of last week’s countdown. One notable exception being Battlestations: Pacific, which debuts at nine and is the only new entry in the entire top 40. Otherwise it all looks as follows. Read it and sleep: 1.
