It’s a second week at the top of the all-format/full-price charts for Batman: Arkham Asylum. The PlayStation 3 version is gaining ground the Xbox 360 game too, all thanks to the launch of the PS3 Slim...

And that’s not the only evidence of the PlayStation 3 fightback on this week’s countdown, either. Tiger Woods 10, World at War, Fight Night 4 and CoD4: Modern Warfare have all enjoyed a free ride on the Slim gravy train – the latter spiking by 128% and attaining its highest chart placing for almost eighteen months. Even Killzone 2 is back on the charts, at this week’s 24.

It’ll be interesting to see how well the Slim itself has done – Chart Track should have an early indication tomorrow. Meantime this week’s top ten is looking pretty mobile, with a goodly amount of swopsies in evidence and two – count ‘em – brand new entries in the shape of Dissidia: Final Fantasy at ten and the excellent Il2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey straight in at six.

It’ll be all-change from now on, though. No doubt Beatles Rock Band, Colin McRae DiRT 2, Guitar Hero 5 and Mini Ninjas will demand a piece of the action next week. Then there’s Need for Speed: Shift and Halo 3: ODST before September’s is finished. Until that little lot turn up to spoil the party it all looks like this:
