New GTAIV episode named [X360]

Wednesday May 27, 7:37 AM

Rockstar Games has outed the next downloadable chapter for Grand Theft Auto IV. It’s going to be called ‘The Ballad of Gay Tony’. No, we’re not making this up...

As it happens ‘Gay Tony’, aka Tony Prince, a flamboyant nightclub impresario, is not the main focus of this latest download. Instead the action centres on his shady assistant, Luis Lopez. “Players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world where everyone has a price,” reckons the Rockstar website, somewhat opaquely. Otherwise ‘an overdose of guns, glitz and grime’ is promised/threatened.

Gay Tony is unleashed on Xbox LIVE this autumn, priced 1600 MS Points – £13.60 or thereabouts. As with the previous chapter, The Lost and Damned, players will need a copy of GTAIV in order to access the download. However both chapters are being bundled on a standalone disc entitled ‘Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City’, which does not require a copy of the original game to play. It’s $39.99 for all that – a touch over £25 at current rates – date TBC. Much more soon, you can bet on it!
