Download the playable demo of BioShock for PlayStation 3, see for yourself whether it’s as good as everyone reckons. Only a couple of weeks before PlayStation 3 gets one of last year’s biggest and best Xbox 360 games. Many of you are already looking forward to playing the full version on 17 October, but in the meantime you can have a quick explore of the undersea city of Rapture. The demo is available from 2 October, but the download treats won’t end there. After launch 2K Games will be supporting BioShock with add-on game content – hopefully to include new missions, but could just as easily be a Bowler Hat for the lead protagonist (remember the horse jacket in 2K’s Oblivion?!). Dear God, please let the add-on game content have nothing to do with pipe-puzzles. PS3 owners are getting value for money straight out of the box with BioShock. It boasts a Survivor difficulty mode not present in the Xbox 360 edition for one thing. We’re not getting into arguments over which version looks the best here. Enjoy the demo.
