Concept art from a rumoured Wii adventure codename “Epic Mickey” has been leaked online. Looks awesome, want to see it? Texas based software studio Junction Point is working on a top secret game for Disney, headed by legendary creator Warren Spector. Cagey interviews with Spector on the project have appeared online as recently as June, but rumours that this would be a Mickey Mouse run-and-jump action game started before Christmas. Well it looks like the rumours are true. Codename “Epic Mickey” allegedly cropped up in an online CV for one member of the Junction Point art team, artist Tony Pulhamn, mentioned specifically for Nintendo Wii. However the very well-connected blog spot ‘Superannuation’ now links through to a resume minus Epic Mickey. It is NeoGAF that hit pay dirt over night, retrieving concept art from the websites of two former Junction Point artists Fred Gambino and Gary Glover. The latter’s signature is clearly seen on the images we have here. And needless to say the majority of them have since vanished (poof) from his site this morning. Of course with “Epic Mickey” still treated as top secret there’s nothing more we can add until Disney and Junction Point offer something more substantial. For the time being, here is the official line from Junction Point: Boy, do we wish we could talk about what we're working on. Soon… Soon… To quote Warren: "When we DO announce what we're doing, half the world's going to think we're crazy and half the world's going to think it's the coolest thing since sliced bread–how great is that?!" Oh, and for all of you who've tried to guess what we're doing, you've been partly right and all wrong… (We're enjoying this way too much!) So there you have it.
