GTAIV is newest 360 Game on Demand [X360]

Tuesday October 13, 3:42 PM

Popular video game, Grand Theft Auto IV, has finally launched as a digital download via the magic that is Xbox LIVE Marketplace. It can be yours for a penny less than £20 too.

There can’t be many gamers left who haven’t availed themselves of Rockstar’s opus de grime. Nevertheless this is a stunning addition to the 360’s mushrooming library of downloadable ‘Games on Demand’. This is the full 18-rated package too, complete with 720p visuals, excellent online modes for up to 16 players and full compatibility with the ‘Lost and Damned’ expansion pack and, of course, the forthcoming ‘Ballad of Gay Tony’ episode. That’s arriving October 29th, by the way.

Chalk another one up for Xbox LIVE, then. And GTAIV is in good company – the full list of Games on Demand currently stands at 58, with standout downloads like Assassin’s Creed, Fable II, Mass Effect and many more vying like licky puppies for your attention. Most are priced, not unreasonably, at £19.99 but Microsoft and Ubisoft have just dropped the cost of Splinter Cell Double Agent, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Naruto: Rise of a Ninja to £14.99. Bargain!
