For sooth, Ubisoft hath supplied a date for its ace-looking renaissance ‘em up, Assassin’s Creed II. Ink November 17th on thine parchment.

This time around the action switches to 15th century Italy and follows the exploits of a character called, rather grandly, ‘Ezio Auditore da Firenze’. He's a young nobleman with an eye for the laydeez and he's on a quest to learn the ways of the Master Assassin and to avenge his family. The action, as you might expect is fluid, the crowd dynamics even better than they were in #1 and the artwork employed throughout is nothing short of stunning – see the pic. Leonardo Da Vinci even makes an appearance. Good eh!

Assassin’s Creed II is sure to be a massive hit on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms for the latter quarter of 09. We’re keeping our fingers tightly crossed that there aren’t any silly time-travelling/sci-fi components to spoil the fun this time around too...
