Lost Planet 2 demo lands [PS3]

Friday September 25, 10:14 AM Lost Planet 2 demo lands

Capcom has just posted a multiplayer demo for Lost Planet 2 on PS3.

First things first, and we still haven’t quite forgiven Capcom for abandoning the original game’s picturesque snowscapes in favour of environments that could exist in any other third-person shooter. Nevertheless LP2 should be an absolute blast, the big monsters are still in there and it seems to be as tough as ever – so, yeah, we’ll be giving it a butcher’s.

For all its visual splendour the demo kicks in at a modest 492MB, meaning it’ll have slithered down your pipe before you know it. Thereafter a weighty chunk of the multiplayer game, complete with two full-sized missions, is yours to play to extinction. It’s better late than never for PS3 owners too, since the 360 crowd have been enjoying the same thing since the back end of August.

One day game demos will be released simultaneously on all platforms. Like, maybe, next lifetime...
