Activision has opened up the Xbox 360 Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer beta test to anyone who wants to join in the fun. And you will want to join in the fun… A previously invite-only affair, the beta is absolutely FREE and won’t require any farting around with special access keys or suclike in order to activate. Simply head over to Xbox LIVE Marketplace, download the relevant file, dive in (with extreme prejudice, naturally) and prepare to wave your candy-ass goodbye as it’s repeatedly blasted by beta veterans who’ve been honing their skills over the last couple of weeks. The PC beta is already open to all and is available via callofduty.com, providing you’re old enough to participate and are prepared to sign up to the site. Alas it looks like PS3 owners will have to wait until the full game is released before they can get a slice of the action - that’s Friday 14th, by the way.
