This bona-fide classic of the 16-bit era is heading to the Wii’s Virtual Console service this Friday and is also re-wowing the masses at the current GamesCom show in Cologne. Gameplay involves a series of unserious aerial challenges, all of which requiring the mastery of either a bi-plane, helicopter, rocketbelt, hang-glider or parachute. Bonus stages are awarded to skilled players and the compelling, password-enhanced structure positively encourages repeat plays. Anyway, pixelly visuals aside, you’re really going to want, nay, need to add this to your VC collection, like, A.S.A-humanly-P. 800 Wii Points (around £5.60) seems ridiculously cheap. The second of Friday’s downloadables is Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! for DSiWare. It’s a sequel to Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2 and promises to improve on its predecessor with new levels, a level creation tool and the opportunity to share such things online or locally via the magic of Wi-Fi.
