SEGA's kinky shooting game is delayed in Western Markets until January 2010. What are we gonna do for entertainment around here?

One thing is becoming certain here at Yahoo! UK Games: it's going to be hell of a 2010 for everyone, but before that a dryzabones Christmas. In the wake of Take-Two's BioShock 2, Red Dead Redemption seeing their release dates slip, SEGA's hugely anticipated (by us) Bayonetta blaster has now also been sidelined. The reason, according to Sega West president Mike Hayes, is that "January 2010 is the optimum release time in the Western Markets to maximize this exciting new title's potential."

Apparently the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game will hit retail in Japan during October as originally planned. So if you're super keen to see what happens when lead protagonist runs out of bewitching power to hold all her magical hair in prudent place you'll need to pray for a region-free import version on Xbox 360. Or take a cold shower and plan your next Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 high score campaign.
