VidZone, the free music-video on-demand service for PlayStation 3, is the first place you’ll see “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight”. U2’s “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight” video is being exclusively premiered on VidZone this evening, almost a clear month ahead of the UK single release on 17 August via Mercury Records. The video is an animated feature, created by David O’Reilly. Yes, really. In fact, if you go to David’s website, the video is there already! http://www.davidoreilly.com. Here’s the official blurb for the “I’ll Go Crazy…” vid: “The video tells parallel stories of one night in the lives of multiple characters. "All of the characters are tipped over the edge, and this leads to them making changes in their lives", said Ireland's David O’Reilly, the director who won the Golden Bear at this years Berlinale for his short film Please Say Something. VidZone launched in June this year, and allows PS3 users to view music videos on demand by streaming them via PlayStation Network. Sony claims to have over 12,000 videos available at present.
O’Reilly’s “Please Say Something (2009)” was the winner of 2009 Golden Bear for Best Short film.
