Guinness World Records proclaims Codemasters’ FUEL the largest playable environment ever to appear on console. That’s 5,560 square miles, buster – a distance that would take you three solid hours to drive from one side to the other. The on- or off-road racing antics in Codemasters’ FUEL have today been officially recognised as taking place within the “largest playable area in a console game” by the Guinness World Records organisation. Codemasters have helpfully figured out that this is roughly the same size as Trinidad & Tobago and is larger than the combined square miles of Hong Kong, Singapore, St Lucia and the Isle of Man. Hats off to FUEL developers Asobo Studio, then. If you want to find out more about FUEL take a ride to www.fuel-game.com. If you prefer surprises you’ve only until Friday 5 June to wait for the game’s release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Don't forget to pack some lunch.
