Let there be no doubt that this is the platform game to end ‘em all either. NSMBW looks like a serious candidate for the greatest ever multiplayer game too. Although we readily admit to a certain amount of bias where anything featuring Mario is concerned.

The site itself is a work of art. Jolly beyond belief, deliriously colourful, slick in operation and full of bite-sized insights detailing every aspect of gameplay – characters, power-ups, controls, modes and much more besides. Best of all, it’s veritably chocka with video clips showing the manic multiplayer platformer in action – more than 20 minutes of new footage, in fact. And if that doesn’t convince you to part with your cash on November 20th nothing will. Seriously, you'll be a lost cause.
