The venerable dudes at Infinity Ward are just too busy to create a playable demo of Modern Warfare 2 prior to the game’s release. And that’s a fact. This not wholly unexpected news is delivered via the magic of Twitter, where an unnamed IW source explains drily: "No plan for a Demo before launch. The entire team is focused on polish all the way up to ship of the full game." We guess that’s fair enough – Modern Warfare 2 is currently looking way beyond brilliant and we certainly wouldn’t want anything to compromise that. Furthermore it’s not like Modern Warfare 2 really needs a demo in order to boost sales. Indeed it’s widely expected to break all manner of records when it launches worldwide on November 10th. Heck, it might even beat Mario & Sonic to the Xmas number one... All the same we can’t pretend not to be just a little disappointed. Especially remembering the multiplayer public beta tests of previous games in the series. So that’s two minor upsets for MW2 – no playable demo before the game launches and the ongoing lack of availability for the night-vision goggle bundle pack. Bah! And bah! again.
