The DSi will be here beginning 3 April, but there’s plenty more Wii and DS software to keep families entertained in the coming months. Nintendo has confirmed street dates for a handful of games this morning, while reminding us all that DSi is also due soon. The first DSi game to be mentioned is Rhythm Paradise, to arrive 1 May bringing 50 musical mini-games and ‘rhythm toys’ to the fledgling format. The more crucial date for younger gamers however will be 22 May, when Pokémon Platinum Version hits retail. This time it features Wi-Fi battles and mini-games for up to 20 players, it’s going to be HUGE. Adults tempted by DSi, or indeed any health-conscious folk, should keep an eye out for “Walk with me! Do you know your walking routine?” As you might expect it’s a fitness oriented title and it comes with two Activity Meters to monitor progress. Walk with me sidles onto store shelves from 5 June. Wii meanwhile will see the return of Punch Out! the hilarious boxing game starring Little Mac. It’s tentatively dated for May. Adventure game Another Code: R is listed for June, as is NEW PLAY CONTROL! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, another remake of a GameCube classic. Beforehand we’ll also see NEW PLAY CONTROL! PIKMIN 2. Finally, Nintendo will launch Nintendo Points Cards for its Wii Shop Channel and Nintendo DSi Shop next month. These will be available online or in the high street and are to replace the Wii Points Cards currently available. The Nintendo Points Cards will come in 1000, 2000 and 3000 Points variations.
