It pays to shop around, particularly if you’re in the market for DJ Hero – Activision has apparently set a recommended retail price of £107.99. Ouch! That’s a bit steep, innit? Still several tens of quids shy of Beatles: Rock Band’s sky-high asking price, but lofty nonetheless. The full-sized, fully-rotating and super-spiffy turntable controller looks like it justifies the price tag, though. Ch, ch, ch, check it out. So, shopping around. A couple of retailers have already thrown their backwards caps into the ring, undercutting Activision’s RRP into the bargain. HMV is currently listing the game for £99.99, while shopto.net does even better at £94.85. We’ve yet to hear from the other major players, sorry, playaz. DJ Hero launches on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii this November and features a suitably roof-raising setlist comprising the likes of Jay-Z, Eminem, DJ Shadow, Benni Benassi, Black Eyed Peas and The Zombies, with their 1968 psych classic ‘Time of the season’. Nope, we’ve no idea what that one’s doing in there either...
