50 Cent speaks in Modern Warfare 2 [X360]

Monday August 10, 10:48 AM

Rapper 50 Cent is to lend his estimable vocal talents to Modern Warfare 2. Uh-huh, aw yeah...

Mr Cent – Curtis to his Ma, 30 pence to us – is no stranger to video games, already having appeared in a couple of half decent outings. He won’t be playing his ultra-macho self this time around, though. Instead he’ll be voicing one of the squad members in the multiplayer and Spec Ops gameplay modes. His lines will include such unforgettable gems as "Reloading," "Watch your fire," "I'm down, get me up!" and "Tango Down!" Classic stuff.

50 won’t be the only ‘Sleb making a vocal appearance in the game either. Others as yet unnamed are busily lining up for speaking parts, Infintity Ward’s Robert Bowling assures Kotaku.com. If that sounds more like a threat than a promise we’re prompted to remember that the Call of Duty series has already attracted some proper Hollywood talent – Gary Oldman and Keifer Sutherland added their gravelly speakings to COD: World at War.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Brian Blessed and ‘Pike’ from Dad’s Army are available, and we’ll let you know who else makes the cut in due course. Meantime you can see pics of Fiddy playing MW2 and having a right old time with members of The Good Charlotte at thisis50.com. Peace out!
