After many months of unfair teasing, Treyarch reveals what to expect from the first salvo of Call of Duty: World at War download content. It turns out to be four new multiplayer maps, after all that speculation about innovation and new direction. Fans of the unlock-able Nazi Zombies mode will be happy to visit the Verrückt asylum featuring electroshock defences to neutralise said zombies. Speaking of Nazis, there’s a new night-time mission set in Berlin where burning buildings inspire the name Nightfire. More traditional fare is offered in the map titled Knee Deep, where the Japanese have transormed Peleliu island in the Pacific into a command centre. Finally there are the passageways of an underground train station to navigate while seeking cover in abandoned carriages. Expect the Call of Duty: World at War ‘DLC Map Pack #1’ to hit sometime in March. Check out Call of Duty HQ (www.callofduty.com) for more information and promised regular updates.
