Sony Europe has just announced a pair of added-value bundle packs to mark the launch of the new 80GB PS3. Interested...?

You just might be in the case of the first, seeing as it includes not one but two Dualshock 3 pads and a copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. We can’t help feeling that Sony could have been more generous with the game included – something more fulsome, full-priced and suitably massive like Metal Gear 4, perhaps. However two Dualshock 3 pads is a splendid addition and we guess at least GT5P will make the new PS3 owner the envy of his/her (but most likely his, right?) chums with its uber-slick visuals. This first bundle screeches into retail from September 10th priced at 449 Euros – around £360.

The second bundle is more keenly priced at 399 Euros (roughly £320) but features one Dualshock 3 and an as yet unspecified Blu-Ray movie. Well, that’s unspecified as far as we’re concerned, although French punters will be able to look forward to a copy of comedy box-office smasheroo “Bienvenue Chez Les Ch’tis”. Or “Welcome to the Sticks” as we’ll know it when Hollywood remakes/ruins it with Will Smith in the lead role – yawn. Anyway, October 29th is the date for your diaries.
