Tekken 6 has been given a street date of October 27 in the US, with European and Asian versions following in close proximity. Okay, we can live with that – as long as it’s properly close.

Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the dazzling brawler will make the specified date, while the sweet-looking PSP iteration awaits final confirmation. Stateside gamers have a tasty bundle pack in prospect too, which is set to include a Tekken 6 art book and a wireless Hori Fighting Stick – all for $149.99 (£92-ish). We’re keeping ‘em tightly crossed for a similar deal this side of the pond, since the latter (and its Mad Catz equivalent) quickly attained hens-teeth status around Street Fighter IV launch time. And don’t get us started about the shocking prices some retailers were trying to charge either!

There’s another nifty purchase incentive for our North American gaming chums. Those who pre-order Tekken 6 through GameStop outlets will get exclusive access to a downloadable Penny Arcade pack. This cool freebie adds a Cardboard Tube Samurai costume for the popular Yoshimitsu character as well as unlocking a Tekken 6 calendar and samurai banners for each of the game’s 40+ fighters.
