Capcom has finally unveiled the top secret game we told you about last week - it’s Lost Planet 2.

Ah, well that makes perfect sense - the URL of the page on Capcom’s official blog that made the announcement did contain the word ‘snow’, after all. It also contained the word ‘Infernus’, but there’s no news whether that’s to be the suffix for this sequel.

In fact precious little has been revealed about the new game so far, save the confirmation that Kenji Oguro, Lost Planet#1’s original designer, is to helm the project, while Resi Evil 5‘s go-to guy, Jun Takeuchi, will take up production duties. Oh, and the game will utilise the MT-Framework 2.0 engine. We thought you’d be particularly excited about that…

And, after that, nada, nowt and pretty much chuff-all - indeed, the promised teaser trailer on Xbox LIVE Marketplace was taken down as quickly as it was posted. No doubt it’s all been fixed by the time you read this, though.
