In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the spoof heavy metal documentary: Big Bottom, Stonehenge… the whole Hell Hole! Harmonix and MTV Games are celebrating the 25th anniversary of “This is Spinal Tap”, with newly recorded versions of the songs featured in the cult classic film. Sadly not the original 1984 soundtrack then, but laid down by the original band for its latest “Back From The Dead” album. Eleven songs, turned up to 11. Three of the six new songs lifted from BFTD are already available in the Rock Band Music Store: “Back from the Dead,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Nightmare” and “Warmer Than Hell”. The Spinal Tap songs will be available in the download-only Rock Band Music Store from next week on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Meanwhile the Wii Rock Band Music Store is getting new cover versions of Black Sabbath classics plus some Foo Fighters originals. There’s also something from Jane’s Addiction and Styx for Rock Band Unplugged. Have a rockin' weekend!
