The Sims 3 in booted-off-the-top-spot shocker! And which game has managed this barely credible feat? Well, it wasn’t Ghostbusters... Alas, although perhaps predictably, this PlayStation timed-exclusive failed to claim the chart-topping crown in its opening week. Instead it debuts at four, with a staggering 98% of sales on PS3 and the piffling remainder on PS2. Meanwhile Prototype, in spite of a 20% decline in its fortunes over the last seven days, has bumped The Sims 3 into second place; the latter’s own sales dropping by a calamitous 49% during the same time-frame. Ooyah! The rest of this week’s top ten is the expected mix of barely-movers and non-shakers. Wii Fit is back in the top three, while EA Sports active slips to eight. Call of Duty: World at War’s pricecut-fuelled march up the charts continues as it leapfrogs Red Faction: Guerrilla and – no surprises – the two tennis games have snuck in the back door. Watch ‘em sneak back out again in fortnight. Perhaps earlier if Murray fails make the final cut. But that’s not going to happen this year, is it Andy. Is it! 1.
