Battlefield 1943: Millions dead [X360]

Monday July 13, 9:29 AM Battlefield 1943: Millions dead

Millions are killed in the first 24 hours of Battlefield 1943 gameplay. How many of them were you responsible for? Loads, right?

Impressive performance stats abound for this ace wartime blaster, including, we guess, the speed with which game servers were added once EA and developers DICE realised the monster hit they had on their hands. But moving on.

Okay, day one – i.e. last Wednesday – and EA has announced that more than five million kills have occurred. Five Million! And that’s just for the Xbox LIVE version of the game. We await similarly humongous figures from the Sony camp.

Meantime, there’s an even more impressive statistic to wrangle with – all told a staggering 29.45 years of play were racked up on Xbox LIVE during the first day of battle. We’ve no idea how many hours of wanton slaughter per Xbox LIVE subscriber that is, but it’s almost certainly way too many. Shame on you all...
