According to Xbox.com’s community dude, ‘Aceybongos’ (or Graeme, to his mum) there’s going to be a Viva Piñata ‘treasure hunt’ this weekend. Sounds exciting. And it sort of is, just as long as you’re a Viva Piñata nut – and there’s no excuse not to be – and you have the requisite equipment needed to participate. So here’s all the nuts n' boltsy stuff you need to know: • Have a good old trawl around Xbox.com from this Friday – the launch day of Viva Piñata : Trouble in Paradise, lest you’ve forgotten. As far as we understand it this neat little promo won’t unlock any brand-new Piñata – just dazzling new colourways for existing critters that would be impossible to achieve via the regular breeding/dietary routes. But that’s good enough for free, right? Well, free-ish. Is anyone else a little disappointed that the whole thing relies on having a Live Vision Camera? Wouldn’t something Xbox LIVE-based have been a bit more sensible and fairer for those who don’t want to make the additional investment? Hmm...
• Keep an eye out for tell-tale Piñata egg icons.
• Click on them to bring up a special Piñata card.
• Either print it out or point your Xbox Live Vision Camera at the screen and *Presto*, new Piñata colour schemes are yours to unlock in the full game.
• There are 25 eggs hidden throughout the site (although we doubt they’ll be especially hard to find).
• Happy hunting!
