Excited by the recent Gears of War 2 trailer, yet ever so slightly disappointed that it didn’t reveal any proper gameplay?

Yeah, we felt a little short-changed by the crimson-tastic teaser too. However our minor disgruntlement will be a thing of distant memory when Epic Games offers a proper look at the actual game at the Comic Con expo in Noo Yawk City later this month. That’s the real game in actual action, and everything!

We’re not sure yet whether this means that members of the general public will be able to play the game themselves. However, given that Comic Con is the world’s largest comic book convention - with all the sweaty-palmery entailed therein - we’re guessing not. Nevertheless a first showing is a first showing and we’re pleased for it wherever it is.

Epic’s Michael Capps will be handling the presentation duties, with a little help from GoW2’s scriptwriter, Joshua Ortega. We’re told their big reveal will also include a history of the series and a tantalising taste of what else the game has in store. Sounds good to us. We’ll be back with more details and maybe a few screens after the 20th.
