No need to ask which game sits atop the all formats/full price chart this week. Okay, it’s still Grand Theft Auto IV. And it has just eased past the one million sales mark in the UK too. Nice one! As Chart Track reports Rockstar’s finest has achieved this milestone in spite of a dramatic 77% decrease in sales, which, we guess, provides a telling indication of how well all other top ten contenders did in the same week (i.e. not especially good). Elsewhere the Xbox 360 seems to be winning the format war, with 62% of all copies of GTAIV sold in the last seven days belonging to the format. Blimey, who’d have thunk it? Not Sony, we’d wager… After that Wii Fit holds on to its number two position, which is actually rather surprising given a reported 48% drop off in sales and the bald fact that it’s been impossible to buy a copy of the game recently. Indeed, there are a number of websites wholly dedicated to reporting Wii Fit stock wherever it arises – which it simply hasn’t done anywhere recently. And then it’s pretty much a regurgitation of last week’s countdown, excepting Sega’s Iron Man, which debuts at eight. Anyway, here’s how it all looks for the week ending May 3rd. We’re forecasting no significant change until Smash Bros and Metal Gear 4 arrive. Oh well: 1. Grand Theft Auto IV (1) Leisure software charts compiled by Chart Track, © 2008 ELSPA Ltd
