Microsoft has just announced details of next weekend’s online Xtival event - stars of the show, those charming firestarter chaps from The Prodigy.

The Xtival takes place from November 28th to the 30th and comprises three days of “controlled mayhem” that, we’re assured, is completely FREE to everyone on Xbox LIVE. There’s certainly plenty to go at too, with a Rock-a-Like Avatar compo to win gig tickets, prize tournaments on premier titles such as Gears of War 2, Call of Duty: World at War, FIFA 09, Quantum of Solace and many more, exclusive music videos, HD movie content, assorted gaming downloadables and, of course, The Prodge themselves, who’ll be on hand on Friday to chat, offer hairstyling tips and to push a bit of music/video content of their own.
