Electronic Arts has taken the top three placings on the all formats/full price chart - same three games, same positions, second week running. Ho-hum… So that’s Mercenaries 2 at one, Woods 09 in two and Spore at three. They’re all deserving candidates for supremacy in their own occasionally sweet ways, we suppose. Although Spore’s been giving us the runaround, refusing to advance gameplay sections unless you first try to exit by pressing ctrl/alt/delete, cancel that action and continue from where the game had previously hung. It’s bizarre, annoying and certainly not what you‘d expect from a blockbuster game, but based on some of the Spore horror stories we’ve read about on the wires we’d say our problems are small in comparison. Moving on there’s a small amount of churn in the top ten. Lego Indy, Beijing 2008, The Sims 2: Apartment life and Too Human taking the walk of shame in favour of Guitar Hero: On Tour, brand new face TNA Impact, Smash Bros: Brawl and Spore Creatures. The latter being the cut-down DS version of Spore that doesn’t crash or forcibly implement needlessly restrictive anti-piracy measures on your gaming ass. But before we get started on that all over again here’s how the chart looks for the week ending September 13th: 1.
