How big, you enquire, very reasonably? We’re talking 11 million global sales, and counting. Bish, bash and, verily, bosh! That’s pretty incredible when you think about it. In fact it’s more than a million and a half sales a month, remembering that the game only arrived in November 2008. Recent UK chart activity indicates that sales are actually accelerating at the moment too – Call of Duty: World at War is this week’s highest climber, jumping from 15 to seven. We’re guessing the super-discount £29.99 price point might be an influencing factor there. So, a good week all-round for Activision and developers Treyarch, who are apparently “honoured and humbled” that so many of you should have forked out for their game. Presumably they’ll be happier still if you all buy the newly released Map Pack 2 too – it’s out now for Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network, and is well worth the modest outlay for the ‘Shi No Numa’ zombie swamp kill-fest alone. Have a go, if you think you’re hard enough...
