Quizshow extravaganza 1 vs 100 is, by any measure, a stroke of minor genius on Xbox LIVE. It’s a brilliant advert for taking up a Gold subscription too. Maybe that’s why Microsoft is making it totally free for the Silver-surfing crew this weekend.

1 vs 100 is still in its beta testing phase. It’s very much in full working order, though – live-hosted shows, regular schedules, real prizes and everything. Speaking of which, digital cameras, laptop PCs, HD TVs, Holiday vouchers, MS Points and more will be awarded to the very best players. Go get ‘em.

Good luck with that too. Participation is massive and there are some truly fast-fingered pub-quiz boffins out there (about 29,000 of them when we played a just-for-fun game the other day).
