Sony announced just yesterday that it would begin rolling the inoffensive version of LittleBigPlanet out across Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand from November 3rd. We commented that this still left them with plenty of wriggle room regarding a precise UK street date. Seems we were right too...

Yup, instead of the 3rd we’re now told to expect the over-heralded product on November 5th. That's a mere a fortnight from tomorrow - and that‘s official, folks. All things considered Sony may want to hold back on the fireworks. Okay, maybe just a couple of sparklers.

But that’s a stunning turnaround on Sony’s part, isn’t it? Just 12 days from monumental cockup and an incomprehensibly costly global product recall to face-saving resurrection. We’re just hoping that they manage to bring as many boxes to retail on day one as were originally planned so that we can all get one.
