PlayStation 3 force feedback gaming arrives at last, sending shudders through future titles and a handful of existing ones such as Gran Turismo and Uncharted. This announcement is dated 27 June, but only arrived this morning. Anyways, Sony Europe will release its DualShock 3 wireless controller for PlayStation 3 on Friday; £39.99 to give your PS3 more of a kick. The “vibration functionality” will benefit “almost all” future PS3 games, and you can enjoy more sensational gaming already if you have Firmware 1.94 installed on your console. Resistance: Fall of Man, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Uncharted Drake’s Fortune have all been given the shakes. So now Sony can say it is the first to a one-of-a-kind controller that incorporates force feedback (ala Xbox 360) and motion sensing interaction (ala Wii). Only time will tell if it can combine these elements to greater or lesser effect.
