The Xbox 360 is enjoying something of a purple patch at the moment, hence Microsoft can afford to be just a little generous. To which end Major Nelson has just detailed a tasty price cut for the next FIFA 09 Live Season update. Live Season, in case you haven’t availed yourself of this very neat feature yet, updates the statistics of in-game players based on the performance of their real-world counterparts. So, if Rooney’s in banging form in the Premiership you’ll notice a marked difference in the game, and vice-versa and so on. The new update is ready for the Barclays Premier League, Spain’s la Liga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga and, er, Mexico’s Primera Division. A season’s worth of live statistical updates for use in the online game can be yours for 420 MS Points per league - £3.57 or thereabouts, and down from the regular 560 Point asking price. Alternatively you can nab the full collection for just 1200 Points - just over a tenner. Can’t be bad…
