Microsoft has just confirmed the appearance of its ground-breaking ‘Project Natal’ motion-sensing technology at next week’s Gamescom expo in Cologne, Germany. Not only that they’re offering you and a buddy the chance to fly out there and experience it for yourselves. Very nice.

Interested parties – and that’s all of you, right? – are asked to imagine what it would be like to play Natal and then to capture that ecstatic moment on camera and upload it as a profile pic on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or Bebo. After that simply head over to the official Xbox UK Facebook, Myspace, Twitter or Bebo pages and leave a short comment explaining why playing Natal would be so paradigm-shiftingly ace. ‘Let your imagination run wild’ says the compo blurb.

Time is tight on this one – the compo closes at 5.00pm on August 11th. Furthermore entrants must be over 18 and free to travel to Cologne from 18th to 21st August. We guess a valid UK Passport would come in handy too.

Gamescom itself is a massive videogames trade fair hosting more than 300 exhibitors, many of whom are preparing to make big announcements, unveil previously unseen wares and the like. In short, you need to be there. See Xbox.com for more info.
