Good grief! Five of the top ten games are brand new releases this week – that’s got to be some kind of first, right? No prizes for guessing what’s at number one, though. Completelio predictabiliosa! Oh yes, as surely as night follows day and EA movie cash-ins follow cinematic blockbusters it’s Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – a game that’s not nearly as pacey or exciting as it could have been but which looks the part and will sell untold millions of copies in spite of garnering only mediocre reviews. However there are other games to get more enthusiastic about in the top ten and beyond. Here’s how it all looks for the week ending June 30th: 1. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (NE) Guess we’d better start thinking of other magic-related headlines and quips as Potter’s unlikely to be deposed any time soon. But that’s a pretty good looking chart otherwise, isn’t it? A little something to suit all tastes and a PS3 game (R6:Vegas) to boot. We know - incredible! Outside the top ten there’s the usual amount of switchery and four other worthy new entries – Midway’s WWII shooter Hour of Victory at 15, western blaster Call of Juarez at 17, chop-socky 360 stealth ‘em up Tenchu Z at 19, and Sim City (DS, we presume) at 29. All good stuff, we think, and looking ahead that’s how it looks likely to stay too. Oh well. Leisure software charts compiled by Chart Track, © 2007 ELSPA Ltd.
