Nintendo has announced a trio of shiny new colourways for the Nintendo DSi. Yes, but which goes best with these shoes?

Actually, we’ll stick with plain old matt-white, thanks, seeing as that’s what we’ve already got. However, if you’re looking to buy a new DSi it might be worth hanging on until October 23rd, when you’ll have the additional choice of Metallic Blue, Light Blue and reliably desirable Red. The capitals are all Nintendo’s, by the way. We’ve no idea why.

Nintendo doesn’t mention any price premium for its new models, which is just as it should be. But Flipnote Studio and a Facebook feature are both pre-installed. The former is a surprisingly cool animation tool (see http://flipnote.hatena.com for more details and amusing examples) while the latter lets users upload DSi photos to their Facebook profiles.

On top of all that users accessing the DSi Shop via their DSi’s Wi-Fi connection before March 31st will be awarded with 1000 DSi Points for FREE and to spend on any game or application bearing the DSiWare label.
