Charts: Torpor at the top [X360]

Tuesday January 13, 09:14 AM

It is with the weary fingertips we inform you that there’s no change at the top of this week’s all formats/full price chart…

And that can mean only one thing - FIFA 09 in the hotseat followed by Call of Duty: World at War in second place with Need for Speed trailing in a not overly distant third. Somebody wake us when this situation changes.

So what have we got in the way of chart excitement this week? In a word, not a lot. Although we’re told that the sales all games in the top 40 have dropped significantly since last week and the gap between the top two titles has narrowed to just 400 - count ‘em - copies. Then there’s Wii Fit which, to the surprise of precisely nobody, has shimmied back into the top ten after a couple of weeks in the lower divisions. Dr. Kawashima’s back in the big league too.

Watch the pair of ‘em disappear once the realisation sinks in that no amount of videogame-based cerebral/physical exercise is going to improve the condition of our frighteningly shabby post-Xmas physiques. Until that sorry day arrives, though, the top ten for the week ending January 10th looks like this:

1. FIFA 09 (1)
2. Call of Duty: World at War (2)
3. Need for Speed: Undercover (3)
4. Wii Fit (15)
5. Guitar Hero: World Tour (4)
6. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (5)
7. Mario Kart Wii (7)
8. Far Cry 2 (6)
9. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training (13)
10. Quantum of Solace (8)
