Will future Microsoft Games Studios games feature Xbox 360 Project Natal support? Certainly, or else why bother making such a thing! But MGS head-honchos remain coy on the subject. Take Peter Molyneux for example. Dutch gaming site Game Kings is at the centre of an Internet tornado today after running an interview with Peter Molyneux, Creative Director of MGS Europe. During this typically forthright while guarded discussion, Molyneux is drawn to comment on the next instalment of the Fable saga. Specifically he is pushed on whether or not the gameplay will involve some kind of motion-sensing, controller free sections. Molyneux’s quote ‘du jour’ is spectacularly laden with double-negatives, and therefore fantastically inconclusive: "I am going to say it's going to use a controller. But I never said it's not going to use Natal." However some indication of a move toward Project Natal is gleaned thanks to Molyneux’s deserved pride as a gaming pioneer. Presents Molyneux: "Do you really think, knowing me, that I wouldn't want to use something like Natal?" In the same interview Peter Molyneux praises iPod Touch / iPhone for its snappy approach to attracting new gamers, one manageable slice at a time. His opinion on Cloud (download-only gaming – no console required) gaming is also worth hearing. Bear in mind, guys and girls, that anybody in Peter Molyneux’s position is required to offer a strict No Comment about all future projects, because original Intellectual Property (IP) is so valuable. Given Molyneux’s track record in particular for original IP over the years, Game Kings did terrifically well coaxing the man into admitting such meagre morsels. So far the only new aspect of Fable III to be confirmed as playthings are Judgements, adding to the multi-layered nature of the constantly evolving Fable universe. The site is Dutch, but the interview is in English (clever so-and-sos) here: http://www.gamekings.tv/index/videos/picnic-2009-interview-peter-molyneux/
