Now in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC and said to feature tens of thousands of zombies!

The fictitious gambling paradise of Fortune City is next in line for zombie infestation. Whereas Dead Rising for Xbox 360 in 2006 took place in Willamette shopping mall, the new game for multiple platforms will carry all the glamour of Vegas.

One of the stand-out features of the previous Dead Rising was the freedom to use almost any object as a weapon, from dinner plates to lawn mowers. New in-game objects are promised for the sequel, but no details have been confirmed.

“Unfortunately, the zombie virus was not contained at the conclusion of Dead Rising, spreading unchecked throughout the United States,” says the official press release. Fortunately for all of us however – Dead Rising was a stunner.

Keiji Inafune will once again take the reigns as Producer at Capcom.
