In the future we will have lost the use of our larynxs, relying instead on online social networking tools to communicate with one another. Videogames will come in pill format too, and we’ll all be wearing digital socks. Just you wait and see.

Until then, and somewhat forebodingly, it is via Twitter that we learn of the impending release of Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars on the PlayStation Portable. According to a recent Rockstar Games tweet:

”Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars coming October 20th for PSP. First screens and more coming soon.”

A quick butcher’s at the official site reveals that they’re not quite ready to supply the latter yet, although there are oodles of screens for the excellent DS outing in action. Meanwhile the very latest tweet confirms what we already knew:

“Yes, it will be available as both a digital download (via PLAYSTATION Network) and a retail UMD”.

So that’s a bit of good news, particularly for PSP Go owners on the hunt for downloadable goodies for their newly-purchased machines. Otherwise it’s a busy time for Rockstar’s PSP division, what with Timbaland’s ‘Beaterator’ out on September 29th (also as a PSN download). And we can’t wait to see the next developments on the awesome Red Dead Redemption – let’s have a few more tweets about that, please.
